hi folks
new to site ..
just got my 1st 4 runner last week.
other than the obvious. plugs , air cleaner, oil change, ect. ect . is there any thing out there to improve fuel economy on my 4 runner that really works?? mine is a 95 3.0 5 speed only has 74000 miles ..
is there a particular spark plug that makes a difference??
any body have any luck with a k&n filter ??? or ??
i am in the denver area so the alltitude can affect mileage some i am sure.
my first tank of gas i got just over 18 mpg.. ( did not use a/c at all other than checking to make sure it worked)
thanks in advance for any advice

WOW. I'd be real happy with 18 mpg. When I got the '95 (March 2006) I got 11.8 mpg on the first tank. It's better now (after a tune up, timing adj., etc) but I have not checked it. T
