Can anyone suggest a decent in-dash navigation system w/ bluetooth for a 2005 4 Runner Sport. I am interested in the appearance and quality. I will appreciate any info.

Hey guys,
If you have a JBL Synthesis system in your 4Runners and enjoy the sound you may want to do some research. I looked at upgrading mine to an Eclipse system from the dealer however they told me that I would lose 5 of my 9 speakers and my little stock sub in the back. I enjoy the sound quality too much to lose it, howeverI really want to get thisEclipse system (or something comperable) installed because Toyota's stock radios dont allow you to have satelite run directly through the radio without an additionaltuner, or control your iPod through it. If anyone has any further info on this please let me know.

You would loose the center channel only the rest can be wired in by a using a Metra amp intergration harness for JBL systems. We could not figure out the center channel because we ran out of time at the shop. Eclipse is not the best for Toyota it's just the brand many toyota dealerships stock. Go with Pioneer Avic-d3. Easy to use and more features for your money.

I found out why they didn't deal with the center channel.
What ever unit your buying must have a center channel output. usually it's a rca plug which will require to adda a small 50watt amp. something small that will fit in the dash. i've seen just a couple of units that have an extra pair of speaker outs instead of rca's on the head unit that say center channel but it's rare.
next option is to use the front driver sidespeaker and combine in series to the center channel. this is the easiest way.
