Hi all new guy here.

I bought my wife an 06 Limited 4x4 v6.

But from day 1 the engine has always had noticable vavle train noise. Took it back and they say "acceptable noise limits". One year later and 26k and it now sounds like the engine has no oil in it. were talking 1965 ford 6cly with 200k on it. I take it to toyota and they no codes generated we dont need to fix it.

Can someone chime in if they have any ideas or they have heard of this before, is it kind of common?

I'm only familar with the 22R series, but anyway try adding a few oz. of Seafoam to the oil per the directions on the can. One time, only 6 months after a timing chain change, my engine started making the timing chain noises again off and on. Of course, when I took it to my mechanic it was quiet.

Seafoam made the noise go away. I discussed this with my mechanic, he saidprobably some gunk was making the timing chain tensioner stick and the Seafoam cleared it up. He said he considersSeafoama good product.

You never know, stuff is only $7 a can and you don't have to change the oil afterwards. NAPA carries it.
