I drive a 1997 Toyota 4runner, I'm a teen girl and it's my first vehicle, I love my baby but I'm having some problems and I need some insight! My check engine light came on and when I read the code it said something about my oxygen sensor. Now I need to know what I should do, and how long can I drive it before I fix it? Because I have to get to work and school every day.

Also, when I cut my wheel all the way (usually pulling out of my garage or a parking spot) I squeals loudly.

Anddd lastly, when it's cold and I start it up, my engine makes this squeaking sound (if you know what a kids barbie car sounds like, that's the noise it makes) when I drive and brake. Plus, my wheel almost becomes hard to turn.

the squeaking sound when startin car might be your belt slippin easy way to fix that is to spray some belt dressing on the belts spray with the spray on addheisive and start it up to see if it fixed it and if wheels are hard to turn try checking your power steering fluid you might need to add some

And when you turn your wheels all the way to the stops there is metal on metal contact that squeals. Grease the steering stops, it will last about 3000-4000 miles. When you get your oil changed (or do it yourself) have those greased, problem solved. If you continue to drive with o2 sensor issues the truck will run on the rich side to protect the engine so expect lower gas mileage. You can drive it without hurting it though.

are you only getting one code? The link above shows you to replace the o2 sensor, you may not need to replace it. Test it first. Also if you have other codes they will sometimes trigger the o2 code as well.
