i got hold of a brand new set of smittybuilt nerf bars for a 1st gen 4runner. they were given to me so i am trying to find a way to mount them onto my 1995 4runner sr5. i still have the stock running boards and am trying to switch. if anyone knows about the mounting possibilities of these nerf barslet me know.

I can't help you with the mounting. I would like to know if they work. I have a 95 SR5 and want to put nerf bars on it but cannot find any for less than $500.00. I am going to try to mount 96 4runner bars on it. Will keep you informed.
