I'm new to this forum and would like some "how to" help. I'm pretty good with a wrench (own a moderately high modified 2002 1.8t passat) but know very little about the 4Runner. I've done basic stuff to my wife's truck (oil changes, spark plug changes, installed exterior and interior upgrades to make the truck look like the Limited-running boards-rear window spoiler-woodgrain-etc) but my wife's truck (2002 SR5, auto 2 wheel drive) needs brakes and I was thinking about doing them myself. 1). She only had front discs...can the rear be changed over to discs? 2). Is there a good writeup on how to change the brakes on this truck, including specific tools needed? I would appreciate any guidance you all could give me on this.
