Default Wont Start

Hello i have a problem I have bought a 91 4 runner SR5 v6 4wd and the place said as soon as i signed the papers that i have a bad starter so they replaced it for me than a week later it whent out again so i got a brand new one but three days later it whent out too when i turn the key it will start drive around town and some times go for awhile than when i turn it off it wont start again ive gone to 7 different mechanics from the dealer to a small mom and pop garage and everyon tells me different what happens is when i turn the key nothing happens i hear a ting on the side where the starter is but nothing power falls slightly as is normal for cars when starting.

ps i have also replaced the steering bar axil and tie rod due to the fact that it apparently was used for hard 4 wheel driveing when i replaced the starter the first time the pan was filled to th brim with mud.
PPSS i also have a problem with mpg 13 miles to a galon and doesn't have that umph thought might need tune up are all these things related and WHAT IS WRONG!!!

I have the same problem on an 87. Did you get an answer. This has been occurring for 4 years and is getting worse.

It turned out my problem was that my power wasn't getting grounded the neg cable to the battery was badly caroded and was desolving in the mechanics hand when he showed me he just cut the bad part off and replaced it with a new head and i was good to go with an appointment to check the other groundings but that seemed to help i put a 100 miles a day on it and it didn't have a problem once he was nice enough cause i took it to him the other times he felt sorry for me that it was free of charge. that week he checked the other groundings and found nothing wrong. But to anyone who has this problem check them all cause mine was easy enough and obveous but the battery Neg. isn't the only grounder there are others that might cause the problem.
