im on 33s Pro Comps, ATs. They are a nice daily driver tire, very quiet too..

 

Mine doesn't get off-road very often...so I went to SimpleTire.com and got a set of Michelin Pilot Alpins. I really like em a lot. Great all-season tire, quiet, good road manners.

 

To me, Terra Grapplers are one of the best all around tires. Good traction on and off the road.

 

I've got about 20k on a set of 265/70/16s. They are very quite & smooth on the highway Yet can do some any offroad situation a stock 3rd gen 4runner can do including moderate mudding, hence the ATM (all terrain & mud). Never gotten stuck, they just keep plowing ahead. They clean themselves on the go in the mud, wear very well and best of all, look beefy as they come about 7% wider than a normal 265s and also have 6 plies so cactus isn't much of an issue. About $600 installed. You will like them.

 

The T800 depicted would be a good choice. Tow pin/clevis at front, just need a connector rig(of your own) to the pulling unit, good ground clearance to the fuel system and batteries/steps. 18 spd is a bit overkill but useful as is the 4 way lockup, that is two differential locks and a power divider lock. HP is a bit hefty but you don't have to use all of it and the 16 k front with 46k rears is a good choice for stability and weight bearing.

 

General Grabber series would be my suggestion it has some off road capabilities.

 

Pro Comp has some A/T Sport tires that are pretty aggressive for off-road but still appropriate for daily use. If you look online you can usually find some good deals on tire packages.
