I did't think of that but I was going to put sparco stitched seats in it. They are built a lot like supra seats but you can pick different colors and threads.

Are Supra seats really that good compared to what aftermarket products are available or even what newer vehicles are equipped with?  To be honest, I never sat in the last generation Supra so I can visualze them in a 4R.

The ones I have sat in were leather and they were the upgraded version of them. It was like setting a low level racing seat but way more comfortable becuase of the padding. It feels like they just wrap up around you and hold you there. They also look bad ass.

they cost just under $900
bought them from this website, very helpful people
http://www.Racing-Seats-USA.Com

just checked actual price. $876 thats for seats, rails, and installation of lumbar pumps
driver side rails were a pretty tight fit, and the passenger rail you have to drill a hole for the back left side. but very good seats for the price. and my back pain i got from the old beat up seats are all gone

thanks for the info.  what years will other Toyota seats fit into the 88 4Runner without bracket modification?

I love those Corbeau seats but i just don't have that kind of cash at the moment and NEED better seats in this thing.

8Beast, I love the interior door of your car - that quilted velvet stuff is so fine.  Did you do it yourself?  If not how much did that cost?

It looks tight.

the door panels are stock, i dont think they're rare or anything, but i'm not sure.

and for other seats that would fit? i always wanted to see if some 85-87 corolla GT-S seats would fit, but i never got around to trying. i love those seats, lumbar support, and you can adjust the lat supports. good seats. and maybe some supra seats from those years, if you're lucky they might fit. dont know what kind of seats you're looking for, but i like keeping things stock, or at least stock looking, (keeping with toyota parts i mean).
