I drive a 99 4 Runner limited. I love it but enjoy off roading a little bit and would like to have a more agressive stance. I put some new wheels and tires on they are 33" high. now i am having rubbing problems. I kind of knew it was going to happen, just my luck. I am looking at the "REVTEC" lift kit. it will rase it 3",....solve my rubbing problem and look bad ass. My local shop said it is $327.00 for the kit which isnt too bad, but they want another $400.00 to install it. All it is is a few spacers. SO HERE IS MY QUESTION...Has anyone done a simple lift like the one i am looking at. is it something i can handle myself. i know i will need to compress the springs to do it but is it worth the 400 bucks to have them do it. Never done anything like this but i do have some mechanical skills and tools. Any info would be great. THANKS!!!

Thanks for your help. Yeah they fit, they do rub when I turn or go over speed bumps or when I go wheelin'. Thats why I wanted to do the lift cause it is my every day driver and it is getting pretty enoing hearing the tire gouge in all the time. I will take some pics and post them for you and anyone else that wants to check it out, thanks again.
