I have a 2004 Limited 4WD with the V8 Engine. I just bought a 19 foot Toy Hauler trailer and took it out for the first time. I was aproached three times by other 4Runner owners who were amazed that I was towing such a large trailer. Thats when it occured to me I've never seen another one either. The 2003 and up models have a towing capacity of 7300 pounds which is more than a standard Explorer, Expedition, 1/2 ton Suburban, and even the Sequoia. So, I was wondering if there are any others who pull Toy Haulers or Travel trailers and, how is your experience pulling them? Other than the gas mileage gets cut in half ( 8 mpg) mine pulls and handles it great.

About 2 months ago I purchased a 20' enclosed car trailer. My V8 4Runner has no trouble towing the trailer with car inside (~5,600 lbs). I have gotten a lot of strange looks and many, many questions about towing the trailer with the 4Runner. Gas mileage when towing varies with the terrain. I have gotten as high as 12 mpg and as low as 7 mpg.

What brand do you have and what are the specs? I just bought a 16ft Baja and am currently setting everything up to tow.
