Hi all,

I have a 1994 4 runner that I just bought a new battery for. The darn
thing was not charging with a charger but now the amp meter is reading
on the high side with a new and charged battery, the lights dim when I
merely turn on the wipers or heater? I just had to jump start it today?
I put new terminals on the positive and negative connections to the
battery but not replace the entire cables? Could the cables or voltage
regulator be the problem? I dont quite understand why the alternator is
showing high output yet the battery is dying? Any suggestions welcomed
and encouraged! Than you in advance!

Sorry for rambling, basically the amp meter was showing a high rate of
charge, the batt. voltage was reading 12.6V static and 14.0v with the
engine running. The loss was through a bad ground cable.  Thanks
for at least saying you were confused!
