Default compatible factory cd players?

The Alpine deck I installed was causing me to blow fuses so I put the factory tape player back in my 97 runner and havnt had any problems. I see a bunch of Toyota cd players on Ebay that may or may not be compatible....whats the easiest way to find out?

Thanks for any input....

i guess i'd still be trying to find out why you were blowing fuses with the alpine unit. unless it was not wired correctly, there is no reason it would have been blowing fuses (and what fuses was it blowing). wired correctly, it uses the same wiring as the factory unit.
