I have a manual trans 94 4runner with a blown 3.0 3vze engine. What I am looking for is more power of corse. I know the 3.4L is almost a bolt in project but the problem is I have resently found a crashed 01 Tundra in the paper with good drive tran for a reasonable price.Has anyone ever seen a v8 4.7 toyota conversion in a 94 body style 4runner? I know the wiring isnt going to be fun although I know a guy who can get the engine to communicat with the rest of the truck so that wont be a huge deal, I think. Does anyone know if the 4.7 will bolt up to the manual trans of the 3.0 engine. Also I visited a local 4x4 shop and they told me that the 3.0 and the 4.7 is similar in relation to that of the chevy 5.7 and 4.3 that is the same engine with 2 cyl. added.

I put a custom chevy 4.3 in my 93 runner with a 5 spd manual tranny. Its pushing about 250-275 horse and the tranny is fine no prob lighting up 32s.
