Clutch problems 97 4Runner

Problem with hydraulic clutch. [1997 ] Pedal goes to floor, clutch does disengage but pedal only partially returns. Have topped off reservoir, bled the system and checked for leaks. No leak found. When pedal pushed in a few inches it continues in on its own and wont return without hooking it with my toe . Anyone with a similar problem? Please give advice. Thank you. Mike B

As long as everything mechanical is good it sounds like you have air in the system and or a bad master which is causing pressure to leak(internally) past (they can also leak externally)... If the slave cylinder is bad they usually leak fluid on the ground. I find it hard to understand that you can bleed the system out with no problems yet have you have a pedal that drops to the floor when depressed. Let me know how you make out.
