I think I have a vacuum problem.

I am restoring a 1995 Toyota 4runner 6 cyl. 6 months ago I had a re-manufactured engine installed. I have noticed that when I really step on the gas while the AC is running I notice that the air flow out of the ac ducts will change from blowing on me to the windshield. It also runs a slight "miss Rough" at idle speeds. Can someone give me advise. I bought a chiltons repair manual but I can't find where the vacuum normal reading is supposed to be. They were supposed to put new vacuum lines on it when engine was replaced. Could it be a leak in air flow control module that diverts air out different paths inside the car. I thought that valve was mechanical but now I believe it is vacuum controlled.

Any help are suggestions would be appreciared.
Thanks,
Craig

Craig, when I got my 3.0 done too it did the same thing. Its a vacuum nightmare, I think I ended up getting a Chilton to make sure it was all in the correct spot. I'm going off memory but that little box that they all connect to is a common problem.
