ok here is what happen. the engine ran hot and out of water in rad. so i got it home and put more water in rad. and the muffler had lots of white smoke when started up. and all the water in rad. went out tailpipe at end of cat between where it mounts to pipe. so i lose water fast and over heat. is this due to cracked head,etc? i also have some water in oil. where do i start working on engine? heads only or do i need full re-build? please some one help me... do not know problem and where to start.. thanks for any help you can provide..

 

Im a firm believer in a complete overhaul in high mileage engines, if your block has like 30k on it or something you going to just need heads and a headgasket most likely.

that sucks man, just went threw it and got a new engine.

Too much water into the block can really mess things up, but after you get the heads off you can inspect a little..
