Unhappy Pulling a V6, so while I am at it?.......

I am a shop teacher at a high school, and we have a new project (my 1992 V6 forerunner, with a motor someone ran out of oil) The runner RAN when I brought it in, was running synthetic and just had a lower end noise. Funny enough it has only 15K on a rebuilt motor because they ran it dry due to an oil leak 2 years ago!! (no lesson learned here I guess) anyways, my plan right now is to pull it out, rebuild the bottom end, and go from there. My question is.....Is there anything else we should take care of while we are "in the neighborhood"? Any real know trouble spots or things that are easy to replace that should be replaced while the motor is out? ALSO...I see the lift hook on the Rt side (Pass side) but not on the rear drivers side. Am I just missing it or ??? It is not apparent. If someone had a pic that would be awesome. The kids are enthused right now (but they always are when disassembling, reassembly is sometimes different! Thanks for any help. Brad

Default lift hook

Does anyone know where the drivers side lift hook is? I can't find it to save my life? Thanks, Brad
