Remanufactured 3VZE
I have a 95 4Runner in excellent condition, except for the motor... I havelooked at doing engine conversions ect., but I think my best bet is to put a remanfactured long block back in. There are a lot of companies "remanufacturing" the 3VZE. The prices range from $1595 to $3512. Have any of you replaced your engines with a remanufactured one? Have any of you used a remanufactured engine from Jasper Engines & Transmissions, Oregon Engine Rebuilders or Engines Direct?
Any and all information will be appreciated. |
RE: Remanufactured 3VZE
Engines direct works with american engine stallers I believe. Almost a year after I sold my 4-runner with a brand new reman, it blew the head gasket again. Really the best thing if you can afford it is put the 3.4 in there, its more reliable, wouldnt cost as much as putting a 350 in it, and its still toyota parts which is cool.

RE: Remanufactured 3VZE
Ok does the 3.4 engine fit the transmission????? I looked at the same problem. I guess what I am going to do is removed the engine and transmission from the 91 that I bought, and install it in the 1995 4-Runner. The 91 only has 148,000 miles and the 95 has 180,000. So I will come out with lower mileage engine, My guestion is how long will this take??? I have never worked on Toyota's!!!!!
thanks |
RE: Remanufactured 3VZE
I have had no problems at all with the Jasper I have in my boat. It's a redone Chevy 6 cylinder from 1970 or so.
