Spark plugs and wires

I was wondering what are some good spark plugs and wires to upgrade to. I have a 1997 with the 3.4L V6. Let me know which ones you all have used. Thanks, Shane.

RE: Spark plugs and wires

Does anyone know about the spark plug brands Denso and Bosch? Which one is better or is the price difference worth it?

Denso is a stock Japanese company that supplies parts to Mazda, Toyota, and Nissan, maybe more but thats what I know of.

Bosch is a general replacement company that has parts for everything.

In performance they are pretty much the same from what I've seen. If you want performance plugs and wires look for NGKs. I found some on the NGK site a while back but I don't know what if any gains you will get. Plugs and wires don't really do that much until you have a heavily modded engine but they could help a little. If you get some post a pic and any difference you notice. Happy modding!

RE: Spark plugs and wires

From another marque's forum I hang out on, NGK's and the associated "blue" wires" are pretty much the plug/wire combo of choice.

If you have some extenuating circumstances, such as an offset spark plug in a hemispherical head with domed pistons, or you are routinely just a fraction of a second behind the guy taking first place in a competition, then it would be worth shelling out the big bucks for a set of Nology Hotwires. Now, I know there are a lot of naysayers out there about Hotwires, but in the two cases described above they worked for me.

Normal use, just go with NGK's and the blues.
