Hey guys. I am looking at buying a 1989 4runner. It is the model with the romovable top. I am wondering if this is a good choice for doing a four inch lift and making it a fun off roader. Is this a good year or should I look at something older? Any help is great.

 

If you're serious about off roading, you'd be better off with a 86 or older truck with thelive front axle.
87 was the first year of the IFS, I think.
