2017 4Runner limited: Painting Chrome
 

I just purchased a white 2017 4Runner limited. I'm trying to do some modifications which include trying to get rid of the chrome. I'm not a huge fan of the chrome and want to paint in over to matte black. Most auto body shops won't do it as painting chrome isn't efficient and will peel off over time. Any remmemdations to alternative options to get rid of the chrome?
