I love my 4 runner except for its rims. I have the sport edition and the paint is literally falling off the rim. The dealer says that it’s something that I have sprayed on the rim even though it’s on the spare which I have never changed? My sales man tried talking them into giving me new rims but they won’t budge. So I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem besides me and what i can do to fix it or direct me to some help.

i have a 99 sr5 4wheel drive with 16" alloy rims. what looks to be clear laquer is peeling from all my rims and it makes them look like crap. i'm the original owner, so it's nothing anyone else did previously. i was wondering what could be done to clean them up.
