Not only is the rear bumper on my first gen '87 an ugly, lousy, cheap piece of plastic capped garbage but it's also a little less than straight. I have noticed that the rear bumper for the second gen 4runners is a nice looking piece thats ALL CHROME and goes all the way around the rear of the truck from wheel well to wheel well.

Though the two bumpers are not the same in dimension I would like to mount a 2nd gen bumper on my 1st gen 4Runner.

Has anyone tried this? Would it be a bolt hole for bolt hole swap or a cut and weld undertaking?
