OK! since no-one will answer my speedo questions here is another one.

92 4Runner, V-6, 5Spd, cruse control, 200100 miles

I called the dealers and even a good toyota mech and they all say that my speedo should run off a cable but after going under the vehicle exploring every inch of the tranny only wires. One set for reverse light and one for speedo.

OK, If it is an electric sensor type what is the cheapiest and easiest fix for this problem. I am very mechanically incline.

Also can I use a 92 4Runner with a V6,2WD, Auto speedo cluster?

 

I dont see any reason why not. Granted you didnt mention if the runner your putting it in is a 4x4 but otherwise not having a indication light I think its fine.

As for the Speedo cable, I never had any problems so I dont know the location or info.
