I have a 1999 Limited 4x4 I bought last year for my 16-year old to drive, with the intent that it also be my hunting vehicle. It have been impressed with the vehicle and hope to keep it for many years, and plan to make a few modifications for off-road.

One of my sons friends has a 2003 Tacoma that he is getting rid of that has a custom made steel front bumper, which would be much better than the plastic bumper I have now. He wants to sell the bumper, which would be great on my 4Runner, if it fits. The bumper is not local, so I am trying to figure out if it would likely fit my 4Runner. Does anyone know if the bumper mounts for the 1999 4Runner and the 2003 Tacoma are the same?

I think the 4Runner changed body styles in 2003, but the Tacoma did not change until 2005, so I am thinking it might ought to fit.
