Obviously change the oil regularly; whenever you decide to go out on a wheeling trip, have your tech do a good job of lubing so that engagement of 4WD goes smoothly. Keep and eye on proper allignment as that might need more attention depending on how much you go wheeling and how much intense the wheeling is. 4Runners are very tough vehicles but the small things count on keeping it running well. And after a wheeling trip, be sure to get the truck washed, paying special attention to undercarriage cleaning to get rid of wet and dried mud and other dirt that you don't sticking around in odd spots.
