how does 4Runner behave in wind?

I have an '06 4Runner SR5 4WD that I am very happy with, but have noticed that it is fairly unstable in the wind, as in constant correction of the steering wheel to keep it on course. Do other owners notice this problem and what has been done to correct the problem?

don't know how windy your neighborhood is but you're talking about 2 ton + vehicle. maybe it's your driving habit or something is wrong with the steering on your new suv

I have an 03 and it gets blown around in the wind as well. I wouldn't worry about it very much unless you are towing.

You're gonna feel it when the wind really gusts because let's be honest, these things aren't as aerodynamic as a sports car. But do make sure your alignment and all that other jazz is set up right because it may help contribute to the unstable feeling at high speed.

well I don't believe you would really notice a whole lot of difference. The only time I really noticed a difference is when I put the K&N system on my diesel pick up. That allowed the turbo to spool faster. I think you would have to add a larger exhaust to really notice any gains.
