Special Break-in Oil 5000 Miles First Cha
<FONT size=2>I have a GX470 it should have the same engine as the V8 4Runner.
I took it in at about 1,200 miles for oil change. I said I will pay for it but the SA told me the first oil change should be 5,000 miles because it is a special oil for break-in. 1,000 miles is too soon.
Right?

there are probably additives in the oil from the factory that they want to be worked in over the first so many miles....although 5 thousand sounds a bit high to me...
