My rear window on my 93 fourruner started going down sideways so we took it apart and found a metal piece that is attached to the window that makes it go up and down has rotted out. Any ideas where I can get a replacement piece.
I was told I have to get the entire window because this piece that rotted is attached to the window.

check your local junk yard or the internet for used auto parts. it's hard to imagine but there's hundreds of new vehicles totaled every week and the junkyards save everything that can be salvaged. it's a huge network...if your local dealer don't have it they probably knows somebody who has it.

or you can fix it at the stealership :-)
