Towing

Hello, All:

We are proud owners of a "new to us" 2005 SR5 4WD 4Runner That we purchased to replace our beloved 1987 FJ60 Lancruiser. We had been towing a small pop-up tent camper for a number of years with the Landcruiser but deciced to up-grade to a larger travel trailer. As the Landcruiser would only tow 2500 lbs, we have entered the 21st century with our 'Runner. So far, it is the nicest vehicle to drive that I have owned.
I just hope that all the fancy electronic systems and electric motors last a long time.

We are now looking for a travel trailer suitable to tow with our 4Runner. Would some of you tell me what type, size, weight travel trailers you are happily towing or have towed successfully with a V-6 4Runner.

Thanks for the advice.

RE: Towing

I don't have an answer for you but won't you find the needed information in the owners manual?

RE: Towing

The torque that the4runners will put out is very large, so that should not be a problem. So, I would say that as long as you have the right hitch you should be able to tow about 5k pounds.
