00 Climate control lighting

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to get to the bulbs behind the controls, found an article for an older 4runner but it is not the same.

RE: 00 Climate control lighting

Fellow 4runner: There is no easy way to do this task. In my 1998 everything but the climate control lamp (everytime I drive), comes on until I pluck the panel. Indicating a loose bulb. From experience 1996-1999 'runners are quite similar (in parts) if not identical on inside. Then 2000-2002 years go together. You just have to follow the long drawn out procedure to remove the dash panels/clusters to get there. Good luck. -nawlins
