First post. New member here. I have a 99 SR5 Automatic. Had it since new and appx 60,000 miles on it. Even though we live in the desert we seldom do offroading and realize now there was not a need for 4 wheel drive. Non-the-less, we love the vehicle and it matches up well with my Miata and Harley.

The problem I'm having is that when I do engage 4 wheel drive it is as if I put the brakes on, especially when making a turn. I fear it is probably a result from actually not engaging and using 4 wheel drive often enough. Anyone have an idea what's involved in repairing the problem? Idea of cost?
