94 4 Runner Tailgate Question
 

I need the forum members help. Is there a connection on the rear gate wiring harness that allows you to completely remove the rear gate from the truck.My 94 4 Runner Tail Gate is suffer from a sever case of body rot. I have procured a replacement Tail Gate. When the junk yard removed the gate they cut the wiring harness.

I got under my 4 Runner to see if there was a connection in the wiring harness that allows you to remove the gate. I did not find one. The cable on the body of the truck passes through a gomet. I did not pull the gomet and check to see if a connection is on the other side of the gomet. I had to disassemble the new gate to get it painted. I was hoping to find one right inside where the cable comes into the gate. There is not one there.

So am I going to have to cut the wiring harness to get the gate off or is there another solution to the problem. Also if anyone has the 94 Toyota 4 Runner Repair manual on CD that they are will to share I would be real thankful.
