95 T4R acceleration issues

Anyone have a suggestion as to what might cause a loss of power or "bogging down" during acceleration? My sister in law experienced this today while starting out for a drive. She was attempting to get on the freeway and said while she was accelerating it bogged down, she was able to drive it back o.k. but said there was definitely something wrong. Catalytic converter, fuel filter? Thanks!!

go cheap first try fuel filter usually the converter shows signs cherry red overheating or a really bad smell but i do know somebody that got on theirs rattled some stuff loose and clogged the converter

Sounds good to me... Fuel filter would be a very good first, I could think of alot of others. TPS, Auto or stick? Any noises etc... But fuel filter is a must, especially if its never been changed.
