99 4x4 dash indicator won't stop flashing!!!

99 4runner push button 4x4 with optional shifter 4x4
This mornning filled up the tank and the rear tiers, got back in and the 4x4 indicator on the dash is flashing! Whats up? Tried engaging4x4, still won't go off. Plz help!
