battery light problem

whats up everybody- I have a problem that could use a little help. my 90 4runner battery light comes ona little after i crank it up. now there is an after market high output alternator on it (which i didnt install) it is connected through usual wiring harness and then it has another wire coming from it (alt)to the battery. i notice that the groundwire on the battery getshot and was wondering maybe if ishould maybe run another ground off it to see it it makes it better. any advice you have would be greatly appericiated.

RE: battery light problem

Not saying like I know, but I would check both wires between ALT/Starter and battery and also Battery ground to the chasis.
