Fram SURE-Drain????

Hi All,
I am interested in doing my oil changes and want to make it ez. I am looking at a Fram Product called Sure-Drain, it is a quick drain drevice that replaces the existing drain plug on the oil pan. I need to know what size and thread to order.(they come in sizes SD1 thru SD5).
Also, I travel mostly highway and am considering keeping the skid plate off except in snow or any off-roading activity. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thx
Brian

i got one. no problemo. look at the book hooked to the rack to find your size at pepboys or where ever.
u don't have to remove the skid plate. there's a oval hole with a plastic u remove to access the drain plug.
just remember to use a torque wench. not too tight or loose else u'll be screwed. :-)

RE: Fram SURE-Drain????

Thanks for feedback...I stopped at Dealer today and they told me it is a 14mmx 1.25 thread. This is not a valid Fram SD size. It apparently doesn't list the 4Runner in the Fram book. So I am going to drain my oil and measure the size of the drainplug. I have metric thread gauges and will post the SD-# when certain. If anyone knows for certain, I'd be appreciative. My dealer sells the Toyota oil filter for $4.00 each if you get 3 or more. I thought it was reasonable.
Thanks Again
Brian

RE: Fram SURE-Drain????

Aaaaalrigght, here is the SURE-DRAIN size for the 4.7 v8 4Runners. It uses a SD-3. I found them on e-bay for about $7 incl shipping. The auto parts store said they are unavailable but would be $17 each. I've heard they are great. After I use my 4 filters..I will def upsize.
Thanks All
Brian

So how did the quick drain work out? Is it a time saver?
