groan noise from front after car length

99 Limited, for 65,000 miles of 105,000 I've had an short intermitent "groaning" noise emitted from front axles after vehicle moves a car length. Occurs once in 20+ starts or reversals, especially after vehicle has been stopped for a short time. Dealer has never been able to hear or identify problem. After front brakes and rotors were replaced at 75,000 I hoped issued might be resolved, it hasn't. Anyone else experience same issue and what is resolution? Occasionally running 4 wd to ensure lubrication of front axles etc has not made any difference in groan occurance. In the summer months I drive on dirt roads a lot, but wash off undercarriage when I return home.

Maybe the differential gears are worn or something... sorry, not really sure, maybe check out the diff and axles?
