Lifting Back Seats

I've just purchased a 1994 4runner surf. Can anyone tell me if/how i can lift the rear seats up so i can put the back rest section all the way down?

on my 2000 need to feel for a pull strap,in the middle back. it pulls up on a plastic arm that allows the bottom seat to lift easily, otherwise its impossible to lift
