Noises comiung from wheels when out of 4wd
 

I dont know if anyone has ever experienced this or not but i figured this would be the right place to go. I have a 93 4runner, and as of last night it started making some strange noises coming from the front passenger wheel well while i was driving. it sounds as if something is grinding on onespotover and over again. I then noticed today that when i put it in four wheel drive the noise goes away. The noise is there in 2wd but not when it is in 4wd. Oh and I got automatic locking hubs too. So if anyone can help me with this then I would very much appreciate your input.

i have the same problem but mine is more on cold mornings and goes away as it warms up.I think it could be either the rotors rubbing the pads or as you described wheel bearings going bad. good luck and let me know what you figure out I'm about to change my rotors and pads.
