Radio/clock/cig lgt died
On a trip to from NJ to Vermont with Wifey & dogs last weekend, I lost my cig lighter, radio, & clock
I had my Garmin GPS (Streetfinder III) plugged in at the time, but have used it countless hours with no issues, so I don't think it "cooked" anything, so-to-speak.
Been too busy this week to get into it; is there somehow 1 fuse that controls each item, or is it (more likely I'm thinking) 1 circuit or 1 'junction box', something like that? I'm not afraid to get dirty & spend some time, but I don't have a lot of experience working on electrical issues, so advice would be mucho appreciated. I have the Haynes manual, but I trust you guys more, frankly. I also have a buddy who can loan me his Fluke meter if need be.
BTW, I have a 97 SR5, 3.4dohc, 4auto, 4x4, Bilsteins, Mobil 1 syn, K&N, Garmin GPS, BFG AT's
Thanks for any input
BManning
|

seeing as how everything is in the same relative area in the vehicle, i would think that you either blew a fuse,or a circuit of some sort...i woudl think that worst case woudl be that a wire is shorted that directs power to that area. i would start with fuses

RE: Radio/clock/cig lgt died
Ya blew a fuse I believe it is a 10 or 15 amp fuse under the dash on drivers side
