Refrigerant for 1990 3.0

I looked under the hood for the typical sticker, but I can't find any information about what type of refrigerant I have in my A/C system. It works fine now, but one of the hoses got damaged and I may replace it if my mechanic friend wants to help. So far, the hose is holding, but when and if I replace it, I want to know what I need. I guess if I'm evacuating the whole system, I can just switch to 134A at that point anyway.

Anybody know what this one uses stock?

I have no idea if a previous owner switched the refrigerant type - the A/C blows pretty cold, but I'm thinking it may need a slight re-charge or "top-off." Summers in Arizona can be (as you've probably heard) pretty hot.

Thanks.

Unless it was already converted to 134A it has R-12 which they stopped making years ago. You may be able to find some around but it is really expensive. You best bet would be to convert your system to 134A. Good luck
