I'm not a certified Toyota mechanic or anything, but I've worked on a lot of vehicles over many years. If you're cranking over, it's definitely not a starter issue--that's either a fuel supply or spark issue. Start simple--maybe replace your fuel filter and clean the injectors, and check your air filter as well. In general their ignitions are pretty solid, but you may have a component about to die. If yours still uses a standard cap and rotor, replace those first--the contacts wear out over time, and will interfere with the transfer of spark to the plugs.
