Suspension Help??

Hello new 4-Runner friends!
I am new to this group. I have a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner Limited, NON-4-Wheel drive, V6, what I think is a 4.3L, auto.
I have a question pertaining to upgrading my ride. I live in Cambodia where the roads are not good. I have a 15 year old car, that I'm sure the springs haven't been replaced. I just replaced the front shocks and I need to have feed back to this post asap because I'm ordering some parts from the States to come with some people. Basically, I need to know how to get a smoother ride. I just drove 5 hours down Cambodian roads (on a HWY) and it's a beating on my 31 year old body. It's not smooth on myself or my wife and 3 kids. It's not just the Cambodian roads... My questions: What shocks to go with? Springs - rear/coils? Ball joints? (I've replaced bushings with poly.) I need some quick information for my 4-Runner to ride more smooth so it doesn't ride like a tank.
Any help would be appreciated!

P.S. I don't want to lift my T4R. Just factory ride height. Maybe a little in the rear, as it is sagging a bit. I just want to get the best ride I can out of a 15 year old SUV. I know it won't be a Cadillac.

Blessings to you from Cambodia.
Mark
