Up to 17 extra horse power?
 

I was thinking of changing the radiator fan with an electrical fan. Some electric fan manufacturers claim that by swapping out a mechanical driven fan with an electrical will free up up to an extra 17 horses. Is this possible with 4runners and has anybody done it?

Don't know about 17, but it'll definitely free up some hp/ Also, you can switch the fan off for water crossings, avoid the fan screwing itself into the radiator.

Never seen one with a 4Runner, but a lot of the 60's musclecar owner shift from engine driven to electric fans, so it shouldn't be a problem. Betcha your local performance auto shop has just what you need.
