will I need a new engine?
 

We have an old 1995 4 runner that my son has been driving.
we have been careful about checking the oil, but I never checked
the radiator, and he drove it till it started smoking.
This morning I filled the radiator with antifreeze and water. I drove
it to work ( 7 miles ) and I felt blessed that he did not ruin the engine...
until I pulled into the parking lot and turned off the engine and smoke
started coming from under the hood.
I will take it to a mechanic, but wanted to get you guys to give me your
opinion. I don't think it ran out of water in the 7 miles I drove it because
it wasn't dripping underneath the 4 runner as I was filling radiator, and the
temperature gauge did not go up while driving or at a stop, please give
me your best guess, will I need a new engine?

check your oil...is there coolant in it?
