We'd like to replace it with the same or similar console - anything that would be easy to put in and not require drilling any new holes.

I guess if we could find some kind of locking insert, that would work too - thing is, the lid is broken off.

Suggestions?

 

I had the same problem, never got around to getting a new one. Check out this EBAY store, if he doesnt have it, im sure he can get it. Also just check EBAY in general, they get a little expensive though. $100 or more from the dealer..
