Hi all! Just joined up! I'm from tacoma and we have a 93 4Runner that we just put a 95 engine into...But we"ve run into some problems with conversion so we're hoping to get some good advice from here.

What types of problems are you running into? When you say an engine from a '95 4Runner, do you mean '95 or '95.5? Toyota changed the body styling and engines in '95.5.

'95 4Runners had either a 22RE (2.2L I4) or a 3VZE (3.0L V6)

Whereas

'95.5 4Runners started with, I believe, 3RZE (2.7L I4) and 5VZE (3.4L V6)

Let us know for sure. It sounds like an interesting project though!

 

are the 3.4 any better than the 3.0's ?
can they interchange?
