98 4Runner 200K Timing Chain?
I have a 200,000 mile 1998 4 Runner. It was just serviced at the dealer with new brake pads. I do not remember the last time ... or if ... I changed the timing chain. The truck sounds great. Mileage is OK,, and I track it. No dieseling.
What should prompt me to get the timing chain replaced?
Any technical advice is appreciated. The cost makes me want to hold out until it is clear I must do it.
